Collection: TANGO

The undisputed protagonist of this story is the Tango, a simple expression of the soul of Buenos Aires. I wanted, in the title, to close in words the approach to what is not only an art of music, of the body, but a true emotion…Read more

Collection: FLAMENCO

To be flamenco is to have another flesh, another soul, other passions, another skin, other instincts, desires; it is to have another vision of the world, with great meaning; destiny in the consciousness, music in the nerves…Read more

Collection: HABANA

I looked at this city, these people, the eyes of these children. I didn’t think about the difficulty of capturing all this with the camera, I simply did it, without ever taking my eyes off those decaying walls and the dignity of those people who once again managed to move me…read more

Collection: BRIDGES

Perhaps it is because I was born in a house by the side of a bridge and when I was a child from that bridge I used to watch the water with the reflections of the sky, shining, roaring, running free feeding my imagination and my wandering spirit…Read more

BUENOS AIRES ‘TANGO’

We have always maintained, and we are not the only ones, that the tango is more than just a music, a dance or a song. It configures a true universe that originates from this source and knows how to hide and originate unsuspected territories where passions, feelings, stories and even mysterious inhabitants that include spirits and ghosts of times past converge.

“When I met Iller Bedogni I felt that gust of wind from his caminada, I felt that his Tango, as only an exile can seek, had taken him inside an ancient world that enveloped him, bringing him closer to people and then to the gestures and motions of an expressive possibility that is symbiosis of soul and body. I know little about Iller Bedogni. I know that he is involved in commerce and that he works mainly in South America, that he travels compelled, but curious.”

“I know that the energy he transmits comes from the things he loves, from the faces and stories he has been able to tell, from the passions he has been able to give clothes and names to. I think I know what attracted him to this ritual of floating bodies, to the firm stubbornness of the guitar and singing soloists.”

Iller Bedogni

Born in Cadelbosco di Sopra (Reggio Emilia) – ITALY.
He has been photographing since 1967, when his friend Clinio, returning from a trip to Russia, gave him a Lubitel camera. He has been involved in commercial activities for several years, thanks to which he has experienced the most diverse economic-cultural situations. The constant presence in South America and Spain, the meeting in 1997 in Buenos Aires with Horacio Ferrer and Hector Negro (writers, poets and members of the Tango Academy), Paco Lira in Seville in 1999, have fueled his photographic style which , in all his works, is characterized by the study and knowledge of the subject matter, by the rigor of the composition, created with poetic attention and expressive sincerity.
Since 2006 he has lived and worked in Barcelona.
